The Parochet - Holy Ark Curtain

The Torah is our most precious possesion, and we lovingly display that in the Holy Ark, or Aron Kodesh, decorated with a drapery called Parochet - Ark Curtain. Artistically fabricated, this beautiful Menorah Parochet depicts a menorah exquisitely embroidered, which symbolizes the seven-branched candelabrum the kohanim lit in the Temple. Atop the menorah is a 'keter' - crown, referring to the royal status of the Torah.

Dedicating a Parochet / Ark Curtain or other Torah ornaments is a meaningful way to eternalize the memory of a loved one. A dedication is typically embroidered in gold or silver on the front or back of the Torah cover.
