The Parochet - Holy Ark Curtain

The Torah is our most precious possesion, and we lovingly display that in the Holy Ark, or Aron Kodesh, decorated with a drapery called Parochet - Ark Curtain. Delicately hand crafted, this beautiful Menorah Parochet depicts a menorah exquisitely embroidered, which symbolizes the seven-branched candelabrum the kohanim lit in the Temple. Circulating in an arch, features the Hebrew verse "V'Atem B'Rachamecha Harabim, Amadeta Lahem B'Eis Tzarasam", meaning "But You, in Your Abounding Mercies, Stood by Them in the Time of Their Distress".

Dedicating a Parochet / Ark Curtain or other Torah ornaments is a meaningful way to eternalize the memory of a loved one. A dedication is typically embroidered in gold or silver on the front or back of the Torah cover.
